Pinch Valves
Model No: JTN 733/270
Size: ½ Inch 18 V BD
Part No: 13905
The Open Frame Pinch Valve is designed with precision and manufactured using high-quality materials to ensure long-lasting and reliable performance. Its straight-through flow design minimizes restriction when fully open, allowing maximum flow efficiency, even when handling dense or abrasive fluids. For valve sizes of 200 mm diameter and above, two body length options are available. Flanges can be drilled to BS, SANS, or ISO standards according to customer specifications.
The sleeve is produced from specially selected materials suited to the type of fluid being conveyed. It is available with working pressure ratings ranging from 600 kPa (6 Bar) up to 2500 kPa (25 Bar). Depending on the operating environment and application requirements, the frame can be manufactured from either mild steel or stainless steel.
Performance and Applications
The excellent flow characteristics of the pinch valve provide dependable, trouble-free operation, particularly when handling thick substances such as sludges and slurries. Its simple and durable construction helps minimize maintenance and downtime, while the sleeve is designed for easy on-site replacement.
The sleeve is the only component that comes into direct contact with the transported medium. It is heat and pressure molded from flexible natural or synthetic rubber compounds and reinforced with multiple layers to provide superior strength, pressure resistance, and stability.
Pressure ratings of up to 2500 kPa are available. However, the Open Frame Pinch Valve is not recommended for environments where sensitive equipment or personnel may be exposed to corrosive fluids in the unlikely event of sleeve failure. In such applications, the Closed Frame Pinch Valve is the preferred option.
The valve can be supplied with electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or manually operated gearbox-assisted actuation, depending on the application requirements and pressure conditions.
Open Frame Pinch Valves are widely used across various industries and are suitable for handling materials ranging from acids and food products to antibiotics, effluents, slurries, and vacuum-duty applications.
